Charlie Watts signs an autograph as he exits the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia. Watts and the Rolling Stones held rehearsals at John F. Kennedy Stadium during the last week of August as they prepared for their “Steel Wheels” Tour. The Stones had originally wanted to rehearse at the Mann Music Center, but it was too small, a Spectaguard Director of Security had told me.  Charlie Watts frequently walked through Center City on shopping sprees.      © Roger Barone 1989
