The Rolling Stones packed more than a hundred thousand fans into JFK Stadium for their concert in support of the “Some Girls” album. Jagger was ill, the Stones set was shortened and a riot occurred afterward. © Roger Barone 1978

  1. I was at this concert as a kid. My mom worked for the Electric Factory, feeding the crew and bands, she use to take me to all kinds of concerts back then. I was 7 at this time. She worked there from 74-78, and somewhere else a bit after. I was back stage a lot, running around, trying to stay out of trouble.

    I sat in the bleachers behind the stage to watch the show. I remember them shooting out the faces from the some girls album as confetti. I collect a bunch, but, no longer have them. I also collected about 50 frisbees. I watch from the back as the audience threw bottles at the stage from the early ending. It’s a very vivid memory for me, and out of all the concerts, its the one that sticks out the most. My mom still lives in Philly.
