VINTAGE STONES PHOTO FROM PHILLY: KEITH RICHARDS BACKSTAGE MOMENTS BEFORE SPECTRUM ARENA SHOW (6/29/75)

Rolling Stones’ guitarist, Keith Richards, moments before taking the Spectrum Arena stage during the Rolling Stones’ 1975 “Tour of the Americas.” This is the second show of their two-night stand in Philadelphia. Keith Richards is carrying his custom made Zemaitis Macabre guitar. This photo was taken in almost total darkness, the limits of my camera were tested, shooting at f 2.8 @ 1/8 second. Daylight Kodak Ektachrome 400 pushed one stop (info’ for all you film buffs out there). Aaron Copeland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man” was playing throughout the arena as the Stones prepared to take the stage. The silhouette of percussionist Ollie Brown’s head is visible on the left. © Roger Barone 1975/2014
