MICK JAGGER/KEITH RICHARDS: THE SPECTRUM ARENA (June 29, 1975)
I vividly remember taking this photo. I had a split second to decide whom to focus on; Mick in the foreground with the mic’ or Keith in the background with the ciggy.
After shooting about half the show at this point I had lots of Jagger shots, so I shifted focus and captured that cigarette in Keith’s mouth. I’m happy with my decision, but as you can see, using daylight film under the red tungsten lamps was a killer, although it’s not so distracting in this shot.
