VINTAGE CONCERT PHOTO: PHILLY STAGEHANDS ASSEMBLING ROLLING STONES’ 1978 “SOME GIRLS” TOUR STAGE AT JFK STADIUM (6/12/78)

Local stagehands from IATSE Local 8 and members of the Rolling Stones’ advance crew assembling sound towers on a damp and chilly day at JFK Stadium. Note: In the early ’70s, when rock concerts were being held at stadiums, the stagecrew didn’t wear any protective gear while climbing and assembling stages and setting up equipment. “Mo” O’shea, far left, and son, “Chappy,” second from right. © Roger Barone 1978

The guy on the far right Is my uncle Ray Graeber who supervised the erection of the stages on the tour United Production Services. I was just out of high school and asked my uncle for a job and worked the rest of the tour. Thanks for the photo one of the few I have of him. Lonnie Mondell
